You are kindly invited to participate in the FIELD TRIP TO THE UPPER DEVONIAN-CARBONIFEROUS REEF BUILDUPS OF THE BOLSHOI KARATAU MOUNTAINS (SOUTH KARATAU), that will take place in Almaty and Turkestan (Kazakhstan) in August 15–22, 2017.

The first circular is attached.

IMPORTANT: We can accommodate MAXIMUM 30 participants, so the places will be allocated on a first come, first-served basis.

The deadline for the registration is March 1, 2017.

Various types of Upper Devonian-Carboniferous deposits including numerous, large (>100m) mudmounds are well exposed in the Bolshoi Karatau Range, Tien Shan, Kazakhstan, which provide a source of new data for international stratigraphic correlation and for further understanding of reef evolution. A SCCS field trip will be held in August 2017 to the Bolshoi Karatau Range.
