The task group to redefine the Devonian-Carboniferous boundary [which is also the base of the Lower Mississippian Series and Tournaisian Stage] was established in early 2008. It is chaired by Markus Aretz (France) and Carlo Corradini (Italy) is the Vice-chairman. Markus Aretz summarized the recent work of the group through October 2012 in the Annual Report for 2012, volume 30 of the Newsletter on Carboniferous Stratigraphy, and on the following webpage.
